The day began in grey and cloudy conditions, and looking like rain, but as it turned out thankfully it stayed dry. Today we are playing at Ladygate Bowls Club situated in Ruislip in the London Borough of Hillingdon, West London.
Three rinks started of in a hurry and were all in double figures by the seventh end. They were led by the Friends, John Thompson, Michael White and Paul Osborn. The scores started to even out a bit from then on, except on Michael White’s rink which continued to score highly eventually finishing with a 33 – 11 score, making it the top rink of the day. Friend’s only had one losing rink under Barrie Emanuel 15 – 23. The overall score was a Friend’s win 137 – 101.
The Friends team included Deepak Tanna, Immediate Past BE President, and Mike Hulbert who was a late addition to the Friends team and came from Mill BC which was just a short distance up the road.
After the game we were treated to a lovely two course meal and drinks, served in the clubhouse. After-match speeches were made by the clubs Captain of the Day Tony Waller and Friend’s Mike Bertrand. The Top Rinks for both the Friends and Ladygate BC were presented with a reminder of the day.

This was the last of The Friends’ four games set in Bucks, Herts and Middx. and those returning to their distant homes were wished a safe journey. Our next set of games are in Suffolk.
