Welcome / Intro

The Friends of English Bowling were welcomed to Royal Leamington Spa by the President of Warwickshire County Ladies Vanessa Brazier to celebrate their 90^th Anniversary.

The ladies of Warwickshire have produced past and current international players, won the Midland England League, The John’s Trophy, Walker Cup and the Amy Rose and the Friends wish them many more years of success.

There was a lot of banter on the green and  in particular between Vanessa Brazier and Terry Keen who have been friends for many years – I wonder how they managed to play against each other!!!

The top rink for the Friends was Sylvia Thacker, Bryan Robinson, Janice Rowe and Mike Bertrand and the top rink for Warwickshire were Dawn Horne, Jenny Wickens, Jane Chedgzoy and Venessa Brazier.

The score was FOEB 86 and Warwickshire Ladies 98

Thank you Warwickshire Ladies for a most enjoyable game and for the sumptuous buffet after the game especially as this game was held during the National Championships.
