2019
The semi final was contested between Zoe Barnard Rowland and Anna Molony of Avenue Bowling Club, RLS against Marie Borthwick and Sid Barkas of Worcestershire, which Zoe and Anna won 13-8. The second semi final was between David Williams and Stuart Allinson of Wiltshire against Ken Eichen and John Stone of Hampshire who won 14-8. This put Ken into his fourth final of this competition (having won it once).
The final was a close encounter until Zoe and Anna picked up a 3 on the eleventh end followed by a four on the next end and carried on to win 16-11. Congratulations to Zoe and Anna and thanks to everybody who has taken part.

The Friends of English Bowling Two Wood pairs took place during the National Championships at Leamington Spa. 30 pairs took part. The final was a very close game involving an extra end of 1 bowl per player with Margaret and Mike Morris winning 13-12. |

“Third Time Lucky for Ken Eichen”
The final was a battle of the sexes with Ken Eichen (Hampshire) and Frank Barrett (Leicestershire) eventually beating Jackie Bryant and Jenny Ralph 15-9 to ensure that Ken, playing in his third successive final, with three different partners, did not succumb to a third defeat.

Presenting the awards after the game, the Chair of the Friends Geoff Hunt congratulated all competitors on the standard of bowling throughout the day and particularly complimented the finalists on the enthusiasm and stamina they had shown in playing 77 ends in one day, in what were very hot conditions.

2015
Most of the matches were a very close run contest and quite a few rinks had to play an extra end.
After 75 plus ends a winner emerged. It was two well recognized faces. Our Bowls England President Marcia Dunstone and a sub, called in at the last minute, John Bell. |
