Saturday, 31st May 2025 : The Friends of English Bowling enjoyed a great day at York Railway Bowls & Social Club, North Yorkshire. Friends from 11 counties were playing, with some traveling considerable distances—the furthest being Cornwall—to participate in this special event.
With the sun shining and conditions perfect for bowling, the stage was set for a day filled with skilful play and great sportsmanship. Leading the Friends team was Captain of the Day, Paul Robson, while the home side was captained by Malcolm Britten (Mal), who also serves as Chairman of York Railway Bowls & Social Club.
