Sunday 22nd June 2025 On a much cooler day than of late, the Friends gathered in Broadway for a match against the men of the Three Counties Bowling Association led by well- known Friends member John Bates, their 2025 President.

The Broadway club, led by their President Sue Davies, made us very welcome and the green was in perfect condition for our game. After the usual formalities and photographs, the match got underway and a very enjoyable afternoon followed, with the Friends winning narrowly by 5 shots 113 – 108.
A two-course meal followed which was much appreciated and the two team captain’s rewarded their most successful rinks and gave a token of encouragement to those who needed it most! For the Friends the rink of John Scholey, Anne Perry, Margaret Annetts and Adie Booth took the honours while Three Counties President John Bates, along with Keith, Dave and John were their teams top performers.
