31st August 2022: The Friends of English Bowling v Bowls England Select. The weather at Leamington was kind to us and we got underway after a short delay waiting for a match to finish on D green. Thursday 4th August – Weobley BC. This was going to be for many of us our last game of the three played in Herefordshire, and the weather was again looking good. Tuesday 2nd August 2022 – Leominster BC. A warm welcome met the Friends, arriving from 10 different counties. President Olive Goodwin escaped from the kitchen to greet us, offering a welcome cup of tea. She and Sue had prepared a buffet lunch for us and would be working later preparing dinner. Sunday 17th July, at Avon BC We arrived at the Avon B.C., Melksham, Wiltshire on Sunday in glorious sunshine, fortunately there was a bit of a breeze. This game was to celebrate the club’s 100 years, but also the ladies 50th Anniversary. We had an excellent buffet lunch before we went onto the green for photographs and formalities.
