Saturday 9th July – Friends at The Alexandra Bowling & Social Club, Portsmouth. On arrival at the club we were greeted by a wonderful array of colour from a multitude of hanging baskets, planters and flower beds. Friday, 8th July, Leigh Park BC. Sunday 19th June, Henlow Park Bowls Club. Arriving at Henlow several bowlers from Bedfordshire had already played at other clubs in a local Bedfordshire Competition, so they were fully warmed up. We were disappointed to learn that their President would not be in attendance as he and his wife had both caught Covid (it’s still about).
